PERSONALS John H. Harding succeeds G. H. Story as superintendent of the Laporte, Ind., water system. Mr. Story has been connected with the system since its construction in 1371, and is 75 years of age. Colonel Isaacs, fire commissioner of Niagara Falls, N. Y., has returned from Canada, where he and a number of friends were most successful in duck shooting on the Big Creek marsh at Long Point. W. G. Carbaley, for the past 10 years superintendent of the Eureka Water Company, Eureka, Cal., died recently. Before going to the Eureka Water Company he superintended the building of the first breakwater at Humboldt bay. Phillip P. Bourne has been appointed chief engineer of the Epping-Carpenter Pump Company, Pittsburgh, Pa.
