First Aid for Firemen American Red Cross Abridged Text-Book on First Aid, Police and Firemen’s Edition, a book of 150 pages and numerous illustrations, has just been issued by P. Blakeston’s Son & Co., of Philadelphia. It was compiled hy Major Charles Lynch, of the U. S. Army Medical Corps, and is endorsed by the American Red Cross. It contains a great deal which every fireman should know relative to first aid for the injured. The price of the book is 30 cents, net. Roselle, N. J., was visited by an extensive fire on the night of Jan. 20. Through the good work of the Robinson pumping engine, which was called out and worked well for two hours, a big block of buildings was saved.
