NO OWNER FOR WATER WORKS PLANT. A water works plant that is going begging for an owner has come to light at Nauvoo, Iowa, and was sold a few days ago for delinquent taxes. The sale took place in front of the post office and the postmaster rose to the occasion and bid in the works for the sum of $88. Whether this investment was made by the postmaster on his own account entirely or on behalf of a syndicate has not been disclosed, but whether or not he shoul ders the enterprise does not clear up the peculiar fact that no one knows who really owns the plant.
