Decision in Pine Bluff, Ark., Case Judge Trieber in the United States Court, at Little Rock, Ark., handed down his opinion in the Pine Bluff water rate case, granting the water company an injunction against the City of Pine Bluff, prohibiting the enforcement of an ordinance reducing water rates. The suit was brought several months ago. Durand Whipple was appointed master and about two months ago made his report in the Federal court. Exceptions to his report were filed by both the water company, the plaintiffs and the City of Pine Bluff and the Pine Bluff officials, the defendants. In his decision Judge Trieber decrees that the water company is entitled to earn seven per cent, per annum on the physical value of the company’s property, which value is placed by the court at $427,863.63.
