Monmouth Beach, Fire Department The volunteer fire department at Monmouth Beach, N. J., has just completed its spring reorganization. This town, like the majority of Oceanside resorts, becomes very busy about the first of June each year when all the idle stores and residences open up, and likewise make fire protection more imperative. Under the management of Chief C. K. Jones, the Monmouth Beach department has made a splendid record, no fires having gotten beyond control. The department was organized nine years ago, and at present has a membership of sixty volunteers. The apparatus consists of a hook and ladder truck fully equipped and a combination hose and chemical truck. While the apparatus belongs to the town, the fire station is the property of the volunteers. The jurisdiction of the Monmouth Beach department extends from Seabright to Long Branch.
