FILTRATION A new filtration plant at Brownwood, Tex., has been placed in operation. It has a capacity of 1,000,000 gallons daily. The roof is now being placed on the new city filtration plant at Decatur, Ill., and as soon as this is completed the machinery will be installed. Utilities Director Stage and Sanitary Expert Pratt have decided to cover the new Division Avenue filtration plant at Cleveland, O., with sod, flowers and shrubs. The issuance of a building permit authorizes Cleveland, O., to proceed with the work on the $850,000 filtration plant. The permit calls for concrete construction. Dr. P. B. Moss, Alabama State bacteriologist, recently made an inspection of the city of Enfaula and found both the city water and the artesian water are good.
