Dawson Annual Fire Report. Dawson, Yukon, during the year ending Feb. 28, 1914, had 28 fires, with a total loss of $37,725, of which amount $10,625 was in buildings and $27,100 on contents. The total insurance on the property destroyed and damaged was only $750. The principal cause of fires was: burning out of chimneys, ten in number. The apparatus consists of three engines, a Waterman and Ahrens, and an American-La France, one combination hosechemical wagon, one hose wagon, one ladder truck and a chemical engine. The force consists of a chief, a captain, 3 engineers, 5 hosemen, 2 drivers, and 12 privates. The principal recommendations of the Chief is motor apparatus. Andrew Hast is chief, and Malcolm McKennon, captain.
