Massachusetts Chiefs Have Ladies’ Day The Massachusetts Fire Chiefs Club held its annual ladies’ day and outing at Marblehead June 24, the day before the great Salem fire. The chiefs of 45 cities and towns, with their wives and friends, spent the day at Fort Sewell Park. Chief J. T. Adams of Marblehead was the host. Among the heads of the various fire departments present were Chiefs E. E. Chase. Lynn; W. E. Cade, Wakefield, president of the club; F. C. Whitmarsh, Braintree: I. T. Swan, Everett, Jesse Barrett and Assistant Arthur P. Bodge of Peabody; W. O. Arnold, Salem; J. F. Leonard. Belmont; T. F. Murnane, Fitchburg: George Cahoon. Swampscott. and Assistant Chief John A. Martin, Marblehead.
