Kansas City Will Need Increased Water Facilities Supcrintndent S. Y. High, of the Kansas City, Mo., Water Department, has informed the Fire and Water Board that the capacity of the city’s water plant at this time has about reached its maximum and that it will not be very long before it will be necessary to spend from $2,500,000 to $3,750,000 for improvements to meet the needs of the city’s increasing population. The amount expended for all construction, renewals and betterments since the city came into possession of the water works up to April 20, 1914, was $6,998,564.35.
