Care of Fire Hose One of the essentials of protective work is the fire lighter and no invention is of more assistance to him than that of fire hose. What a contrast is its work to the old bucket brigade so familiar to our ancestors! As they employed buckets of all sorts and varieties, so we have advertised to us every possible kind of hose. The first requisite of a fire chief or fire committee is technical information that will enable them to properly select the best hose suited for the purpose for which desired. Climatic, water and pressure conditions must all be weighed carefuly and only then are they ready to say just what particular type of hose should be supplied.
