May Survey Water Source for Salem E. F. Campbell, secretary of the Ohio State Board of Health, has recommended that the City Council of Salem, O., retain an engineer to make thorough investigation and advise as to the best solution of Salem’s water problem. Secretary Campbell addressed a letter to the mayor and service director. He said: “Our chief engineer has made a preliminary verbal report upon his investigation relative to water supply improvements at Salem, made August 1. In the absence of the completion of examination and samples collected at that time, we cannot give you advice as to the various sources investigated. It is apparent, however, that the city of Salem is in great need of an additional water supply, to be secured at the earliest possible date.
