Providence Pensioned Firemen’s Association The recently organized Pensioned Firemen’s Association of Providence, R. I., formed for social and beneficial purposes, consists of members of the Prividence fire department who have been retired by pension and who pledge tehmeslves to aid and assist their community in time of peril from conflagration,and by occasional meetings to foster good will and friendly intercourse. There arc at the present time 47 names on the pension rolls of the department, and of these about 25 have become members of the new association. Provision is made for the election of honorary members who shall be ex-members of the Providence fire department, and Captain James M. Baker, Captain Walter Vaughan and Captain Herbert D. Kelly have been elected under this head.
