Fire Prevention Exhibit at Newark The Newark, N. J., Fire Department observed Fire Prevention Day in an elaborate manner under the supervision of Superin tendent C. Albert Gasser, of the Bureau of Combustibles and Fire Risks, and the Fire Prevention Committee of the Board of Fire Commissioners. The principal feature of the program was an exhibit at Fire Department Headquarters in the City Hall, which will be continued day and evening for two weeks. A feature of the exhibit demonstrates how the “movies” were made safe. It shows a moving picture machine under which are pails of water, to be used in case the film takes fire. Two large poles, on which are hung red lanterns with “Exit” printed on a sign, are nearby. There is also an exhibit showing proper and improper methods of storing films.
