OBITUARY James C. Clow. James C. Clow, vice-president of James B. Clow and Sons, of Chicago, manufacturers of water works supplies, died suddenly at his home in Lake Forest, Ill., on December 25. He was 41 years of age and leaves a widow and one son. Samuel A. Gailey. The death is announced of Samuel A. Gailey, Superintendent of the Altoona, Pa., Water Department. He was a member of the American Water Works Association. Edward Phelan. Captain Edward Phelan, of Truck Co. No. 29. Chicago, died on December 29, as the result of injuries which he received on Christmas Day w-e his truck collided with a trolley car while going to a fire. His skull was fractured. Captain Phelan was 47 years of age and had been a member of the Chicago department for the past twenty years. He is survived by a widow and three children.
