MOTOR APPARATUS NOTES Woonsocket, R. I., a few days ago received a new Pope-Hartford combination car. An American-La France city service truck was given a successful try-out in Madison, N. J., last week. Cohoes, N. Y., has received a triple combination car and two tractors from the AmericanLa France Company. Supt. of Public Safety George T. Spang, of Lebanon, Pa., has requested council to pass an ordinance to limit the speed of motor apparatus to 20 miles an hour. Moline, Ill., is much pleased with its new Boyd aerial truck. In its official test a few days ago, it climbed one of the steepest grades in the city at the rate of 12 miles per hour. Chief Louis Moosbrugger, of St. Cloud, Minn., figures that the motor combination car used by his department effected a saving of more than $900 in the maintenance cost last year over the horse drawn…
