Superintendent Eben R. Dyer Gives Dinner Superintendent Eben R. Dyer, of the Water District of Portland, Me., on February 9, gave a dinner at the Falmouth Hotel in Portland, to the trustees and employees of the water district. William F. Woodburn, New England representative of the Standard Cast Iron Pipe Company and a friend of Superintendent Dyer, was also present. In all there were forty-two present at the dinner which proved to be a most enjoyable affair. After the fine dinner, President W. L. Blake, of the board of trustees, and David E. Moulton, clerk and attorney of the district, spoke in enthusiastic terms of the work accomplished in the district under the direction of Superintendent Dyer. Mr. Woodburn, “the only person present who was not on the District payroll,” as the toastmaster expressed it, when caljed upon spoke very complimentary of the management of the Portland Water District and…
