FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING A bill of material interest to firemen in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pa., is the Dunn Bill, now before the Pennsylvania Legislature, of which Representative Dunn of Philadelphia made announcement he would accept an amendment to this bill to turn over the ten per cent, that the States receives from liquor license fees to the city or county from which is is derived. This affords the firemen’s disability board of Pittsburgh an opportunity to add a considerable sum each year to its fund. In Philadephlia it is the intention, in the event of the passage of the bill, to give the money to both the police and fire pension fund, but as the police fund in Pittsburgh is in better shape than that of the firemen, Dunn said he would help the amendment that would include that branch of the service in second class cities.
