METERAGE At the annual town meeting at Pittsfield, Me., the town voted to adopt the meter system and authorized the water commission to have charge of the matter and that, if necessary, a sum not more than $5,000 be used for the purpose. The Municipal Board of Lyons, N. Y., has decided to adopt the meter system for the village, to go into effect May 1. The new rates will be: 7,500 gallons, or less, 30 cents per thousand gallons, per quarter; 7,500 to 12,500 gallons, 25 cents; 12,500 to 25,000 gallons, 20 cents; 25,000 to 50,000 gallons, 18 cents; 50,000 gallons, or more, 15 cents. The minimum charge for service will be $1.50 per quarter.
