Warehouse in Newark Destroyed A four story warehouse at Newark, N. J., was destroyed recently, only a portion of the walls remaining standing. Two lives were lost. The building was owned by the Newark Second Hand Machinery Company and was occupied by the Newark Hair and By Products Company and by Kelly & Co., dealers in paper stock. The structure was a total loss and the damage, $20,000, is coverd by insurance. Several men leaped from windows and one man died later in a hospital. A young woman, a stenographer, was overtaken by flames at a window of the fourth floor as she was about to jump and as firemen were making efforts to reach her. She fell from the window to a lower building adjoining. She died in a hospital. The fire is believed to have started on the first or second floors and flames and dense smoke spread…
