The salary of Chief John Espey, of Elmira, N. Y., has been increased from $135 to $150 a month. Memorial services of the Cincinnati department and the unveiling of the firemen’s monument took place May 31. Chief Fred W. Hamm of Port Washington, N.Y., has asked the Town Board to pass an ordinance prohibiting driving over fire hose. The Seagrave Co. has secured contracts for three two-wheel tractors from Indianapolis, Ind. These tractors are to be equipped with 38×7 Sewell cushion wheels.
