FILTRATION A chlorine plant has been installed at East Grand Rapids, Mich. Napoleon, O., has issued $42,000 in bonds for the installation of a filtration plant which was ordered by the State Board of Health. The city received its supply from the Maumee River. Reports from Maryville, Mo., state that samples of water from the sands points have been sent to Dr. Roy Cross, of Kansas City and H. A. Buhler, state geologist, of Rolla, for analysis as to its purity. General Manager George D. Westover of the Cadillac (Mich.) Water & Light Company has announced that a filtration plant will soon be installed at an estimated cost of $60,000. The company is doing this voluntarily, it is said, as its franchise which does not expire until 1928 provides merely for the furnishing of water from Lake Cadillac.
