METERAGE Of the 25,000 consumers at Dallas, Tex., 12,000 have meters. That the city will be metered throughout has been promised by the present administration. They may purchase meters from revenues of the department during the coming year. The Dayton, O., water department, by its change in collection of water bills during the past year, has proved advantageous to itself as well as to the consumers. The city has been divided into three sections with a meter reader in each district. All houses are visited whether they have meters or not. This has led to the discovery of many houses where connections have been made to water services without the installation of meters and the locating of many meters reported missing.
