Minneapolis Water Works A report on the Minneapolis water works system shows that 125 miles of mains were laid during the past five years. In this time the new reservoir was completed and standpipes erected in suburban districts to furnish pressure. The cost of maintenance was $2,000,000 not including amount used in completing the reservoir. Last year the department pumped 25,145,000 gallons per day or approximately 72 gallons per capita. The receipts of the department for last year were $200,000 more than the cost of maintenance.
