FIRE DEPARTMENT WORK IN FIRE PREVENTION There may be contention at the present time as to the pioneers in fire prevention by and through organized fire departments, as a measure of public safety and as a means of reducing the fire losses in their respective communities, cities, towns or villages; and there may be contention and rivalry among the various fire departments of this nation and of this continent as to who or which of our departments or municipalities are pursuing the best and most effective measures to accomplish the result, having in mind those departments and municipalities who have put forth some organized method of a modern nature in the propaganda of fire prevention.
