FIRE DEPARTMENT DOINGS The department at Luverne, Minn., has installed a new fire truck. Reports from Wenatchee, Wash., state the council has appointed C. E. Foster as chief to succeed Chief A. J. Vanlandingham. A new fire station has been finished and dedicated at Indianapolis, Ind. It cost about $15,000 to build and will serve a large territory which was in need of such protection. The Washington Hose Company, of Harrisbury, Pa., while on a visit to New Cumberland, presented the New Cumberland band with a handsome silver service. William Priesmeyer has resigned as fire marshal of the city of El Campo, Tex. His resignation was accepted subject to the appointment of a successor to finish the unexpired term.
