FILTRATION The installation of a filtration plant at Arkadelphia, Ark., has been completed. City Chemist Patton reported to the Niles, O., Board of Health that the monthly examination made by the State Board of Health of the water used in Niles is marked all right. City Chemist L. A. Fritze, who is in charge of the filtration work at the pumping station at Moline, Ill., has inaugurated a new system involving a monthly test of the water by the State Survey Department of Chemistry of the Illinois State University. The first report received from the University contained an appended statement that “analysis indicates satisfactory treatment.
