The Martinez Water Supply

Issue 25 and Volume 58.

The Martinez Water Supply Reports from Martinez, Cal., state that a supply of good water sufficient to meet the needs of a large population has been developed by wells three miles west of the city. The discovery of this supply opportunely came when the City Council was preparing to cope with the problem of finding sufficient water for the greater needs that may be expected in 1916. It is estimated that the new supply will meet the needs of a population of at least 25,000. Mayor J. W. McClellan and members of the council have inspected and approved it. Bonds for a complete municipal water system are to be voted on in the spring.
