Fire in Frame Storage Warehouse in Saskatoon With the thermometer hovering at 25 degrees below zero, Chief T. E. Heath of the Saskatoon, Sask., fire department had a difficult task in stopping a fire in the storehouse of the Northern Storage Company. While the building is only two stories in height and occupies a space 150 by 50, it was completely filled with household furniture, glass, china, machinery, tables, ;linen and bther inflammable materials. It was of frame construction, with wood partition walls. The blaze started in the office from an unknown cause, at 1:45 a. m. It was stopped in the warehouse after burning four hours. When Chief Heath and his men arrived the flames were coming through all windows on the ground floor. He had in service two Seagrave motor combination trucks, one horse-drawn combination hose wagon and one city service truck. Five hydrants spaced 300 feet apart…
