Meterage at Fairmont At Fairmont, W. Va., the commissioners in session as the City Board of Affairs recently discussed the question of metering the city. The water meters in the city in use now number 382 and besides these the city has on hand a supply of 100 meters which are to be placed at the discretion of the Water Commissioner by authority of the West Virginia Public Service Commission. It has been pointed out that the meter system will be a benefit to the city inasmuch as there will not be so much waste when water is being gauged as it is drawn, thereby reducing the amount of water which the city will have to pump which in turn reduces the amount of fuel necessaryto pump the water.
