REPORT OF STATE FIRE MARSHAL OF TEXAS ON CONFLAGRATION AT PARIS State Fire Marshal S. W. Inglish of Texas has made a report, addressed to the State Fire Insurance Commission, Austin, Tex., relative to the conflagration at Paris, Tex., on March 21. The report follows: Originated in Frame Warehouse. Submitted herein is a report in connection with an investigation conducted by this office for the purpose of determining as nearly as possible the origin and effect of the conflagration that occurred in Paris, Texas, on March 21, 1916, resulting in the total destruction of most of the business district of the city, completely wiping out the greater portions of the residential sections and destroying churches, schools and other public buildings. The fire had its origin in a frame warehouse situated in the southwestern portion of the city, and while the Department’s data gathered to this time would not now warrant…
