HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL SALESMAN “How to become a successful salesman!” Well, at the outset, let’s look at this subject analytically. Let’s begin at the end with the word Salesman. What is a salesman? I looked it up in the dictionary. Webster says a salesman is a man engaged in the sale of goods or merchandise. Now I want to suggest another definition: A salesman is a man who causes others to believe as he believes, and then moves them to act on that belief. If you are an employer, you have to sell your products, and if you are an employee, you must sell your services. We all have something to sell.
