Chief French, of Daytona, Makes Recommendations The following recommendations were recently made by Chief W. E. French, of Daytona, Fla., to the city commissioners: First: A new fire station to house at least four pieces of apparatus, with proper quarters for at least five men and the chief, including room for fire and police telegraph systems. Second: That Holla way 40-gallott chemicals or at least one of them be mounted on some light car so as to give us a second piece of such apparatus. This should have immediate consideration, as we have nothing in reserve in case of a second fire, or the semblance of a conflagration. Third: That a motor combination pumping engine and hose wagon of at least 860 gallons capacity be procured before another season, and that a 24-inch tile be run from the curb line on the cast side of Beach street at the foot…
