Old Exposition Building Destroyed at Lehighton

Old Exposition Building Destroyed at Lehighton Colonial Court, the 20-year old frame structure which had been the Michigan Building at the Pan-American Exposition, was completely destroyed by fire at Lehighton, Pa., a short time ago. The fire started at 2 A. M., from an unknown cause, and an alarm was sent in to the department at 2.15. Owing to the age and construction of the building, the flames had gained great headway in this time, so that when Chief John M. Beck and the department arrived the four sides of the building were in flames. Chief Beck and his men were compelled to turn their attention to four buildings located across the street from this structure, and by the exercise of considerable skill saved them from any great damage.
