FILTRATION The Trumbull Public Service Corporation is installing a new filtration plant for the water supply of the City of Warren, Ohio, in accordance with plans and specifications of Chester & Fleming, Engineers, Pittsburgh, Pa. At East Liverpool, O., the contract for automatic filter control apparatus for the new city filtration plant has been given to the Pittsburgh Filter Manufacturing Company. Chester & Fleming, Engineers, in charge of the new plant, are supervising the installation of this apparatus. According to statements by utilities department engineers the West Side and most of the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, will have filtered water by July 15 and all Cleveland by October 15 and possibly sooner. Waterworks, engineers reported to Utilities Director Farrell that on the West Side tunnel, which must be completed before the filter is put wholly in operation, progress of forty feet a day was being made at both headers.
