Praise for Oscaloosa Department Chief I. H. McCracken, of Oscaloosa, Ia., recently received a letter expressing the appreciation of the Board of Trustees of Penn College of the good work done by the department at a recent fire at the college. The Chief of Fire Department, Oskaloosa. Dear letter was as follows: Mr. I. H. McCracken, Sir: At a recent meeting of the General Board of Trustees of Penn College, as secretary of the Board, I was instructed to express to you our sincere appreciation of the work done by your department during the fire at the college, May 27th. The Board recognizts the extreme danger in which your men were placed during the fire and commends each individual for the heroic work. Respectfully, (Signed), Walter F.
