Two Platoon for Paterson

Issue 3 and Volume 60.

Two Platoon for Paterson The two platoon system of Paterson, N. J., was made effective on the first instant and the men are now accustomed to the change. The men stationed at tthe firehouses during the day go on duty at 8 o’clock in the morning and remain until 6 in the evening, their places being taken by the second shift that will remain until 8 o’clock in the morning. Every fourth day the shifts will alternate. To reverse the shifts it will be necessary for the day firemen to go on duty on Tuesday at 8 o’clock in the morning and remain at the firehouses until the same hour on Wednesday morning, making twenty-four hours’ duty at a stretch.
