Theatre Building Damaged at Little Rock The Crawford Building, occupied by the Savoy Theatre, the Pollack Clothing Co., a men’s furnishing store, and a hardware store, was damaged by fire at Little Rock, Ark., recently. The building was two stories high, occupied a space of 50 by 140 feet and was built of brick and wood. The first alarm was received at 10:40 p. m., and the department upon reaching the scene of the blaze found that the flames had already gained considerable headway. Chief Charles S. Hafer used excellent judgment in fighting the fire, and owing to his good leadership and the general efficiency of his department, a part of the building was saved and damage to neighboring buildings was averted. The Crawford Building was valued at $18,000 and its contents at $11,800. The loss on the building amounted to $7,500 and that on the contents to $9,315. Fifteen…
