Lumber Plants Partially Destroyed at Graham Fire originating from an unknown cause recently resulted in about $30,000 damage to the buildings and contents at the plants of the Young Lumber Company and the Morrison Smith Lumber Company, Graham, Tex., a short time ago. The department received the first alarm at 8:20 p. m., and responding promptly upon its receipt, found that the flames had gained considerable headway, having spread to the oil and paint contained in the plants. Chief G. Street and his men worked excellently, however, and succeeding in confining the flames to as small an area as possible. Chief Street was greatly handicapped in his work by the fact that he had no equipment other than 1,430 feet of hose. Fourteen firemen aided him in fighting the fire.
