Fire in Garage in Erie

Issue 4 and Volume 60.

Fire in Garage in Erie Two illustrations in this page show features of interest of the recent fire at the Model Garage, at Erie, Pa., of which an account has already appeared and in which many automobiles were destroyed. When the roof collapsed automobiles were buried in the debris. Due to the inflammable contents of the garage the fire spread with such rapidity that the whole building was already ablaze when the department, commanded by Chief J. M. Duerner, arrived. Despite this headway gained by the fire, the department extinguished it in about one hour, the complete destruction of the building being prevented by the department’s excellent work.
