The Jonesboro Water Plant A statement of the Jonesboro, Ark., Board of Improvement, Light, Water and Sewer Districts, issued by Superintendent J. F. Christy, of the City Water and Light Plant, showed that the water earnings for the year 1915 amounted to $28,522.79, and the water operating expenses were $4,602.58. During the past five years there have been added to the investments of the Water, Light and Sewer Districts the following, all of which has been paid for: Plant extensions, $24,805.71; included in this are: new concrete stack, four new high pressure boilers, two generators, engine, two new wells, throwing over 1,000 gallons per minute, new switchboard; giving the plant duplicate capacity throughout. Water line extension, $13,575.72; included in this are: 8,000 feet of 6-inch, 2,200 feet of 4-inch, and 3,100 feet of 2-inch pipe line, besides a large footage of 3/4-inch pipe.
