WATER RATES The monthly minimum rate for metered services at Terre Haute, Ind., is 00 cents for 5/8-inch meter and for fire protection $3.75 for two-inch meter. The City Council of Temple, Tex., has rejected a resolution recently adopted by the City Water Commission providing for a reduction in the rates alter October 1, 1916. A large number of consumers of Redondo Beach, Cal., have filed a petition with the State Railroad Commission asking it to reduce the minimum water rate charged by the Redondo Water Company from $1.50 to 75 cents and to revise the 17 1/2-cent per 100 cubic feet rate now in effect. Chairman Thomas Duncan, of the Indiana Public Service Commission, has announced that September 18 had been set as the date for beginning the hearing on the Indianopolis Water Company rates case.
