THE FIRE ENGINEERS’ CONVENTION. Commencing next Tuesday, the fire engineers will hold their annual convention in Providence. This event promises to be most successful both from the point of attendance and the program provided for the occasion. It now depends upon individual members to exercise their ability to keep the ball rolling so that the best results may be obtained for the Association and the satisfaction of those who have traveled long distances to acquire information of value to the departments to which they belong. Secretary McFai has a good corps of workers to call upon to assist in carrying out the work, and it may be expected be will not be found wanting. The death of President Marston casts a shadow on the proceedings, as he was a universal favorite and most em nently equipped man for the position to which he was elected last year. But sad events…
