Fire Prevention Day in New York Fire Commissioner Robert Adamson has made preparations to include a number of new features in this year’s Fire Prevention Dayparade in New York City on October 9th. There will be floats emphasizing carelessness of citizens with reference to fire hazards. One will represent a pile of gold, indicating the annual fire waste, and will be seven feet long at the base, four feet wide and five feet three inches high. One float will illustrate dangers from use of benzine, gasoline and naphtha in the home and will be represented by three large cans, eight feet high. Another of tinfloats will be covered with buildings dwellings, factories and other structures in which fires occur each year. Emphasizing the importance and value of fire drills will be a scene representing a number of factory girls jumping from buildings. On this float statistics showing the good work…
