WATER WORKS NEWS ITEMS The water department of Fostoria, O., is to introduce electrical equipment. Repairs have been made to the reservoir at Hood River, Ore., to correct leaks. The city council of Troy, Wash., has recently let a contract for a water system. The new water wells of Oil City, Pa., will now be used permanently with the city water plant. Los Angeles, Cal., has recently purchased the Union Holly Woods Company’s water system for $590,000. The Kokomo Water Works Company of Indiana has increased its capital from $125,000 to $195,000. The commissioner of public property has issued rodcrs forbidding the use of hose. The supply at the reservoir is falling off rapidly and it is absolutely necessary to conserve the water supply. The work of removing the water from the big reservoir at the pumping station at Peoria, Ill., has been completed and the reservoir is being cleaned.…
