FILTRATION The board of trustees of the hospital of Springfield, Ohio, have decided to have a softening plant at the hospital. The new water filtration system of East Liverpool, Ohio, recently installed, is proving a great service to the community. The City Council of Geneva, N. Y., is to ask for authority to begin condemnation proceedings to acquire certain land as a site for the addition to the filter. Filtered water has been turned into the high pressure reservoir on West Hill, of Elmira, N. Y. The high pressure reservoir was emptied several weeks ago in order to repair the lining of the concrete walls. The ReidWaples Company of Philadelphia had the contract to do this work.
