FIRE PREVENTION AS AN INVESTMENT It is certainly gratifying to see the interest in fire prevention which is being manifested by officers and men of the various fire repartments throughout this country, as I notice there is not a convention, whether national or state, but what the subject of fire prevention is given a prominent place in the program. Why is it that this fire prevention movement is growing so rapidly? it is true that such organizations as the National Fire Protection Association, the National Association of Credit Men and others have been preaching this gospel for years, and have achieved remarkable success, yet that alone would not stimulate this rapid growth. There must be some good derived from the movement, and the persons first to realize this arc the publicspirited citizens and organizations, the memberships of which are composed mostly of business men and women.
