FILTRATION The new $375,000 filtration plant of the water system of East Liverpool, O., will be completed and in operation by May 1, this year, according to a statement issued by Service Director Thomas Doherty. The J. J. Dick Co., of Scottdale, Pa., has about completed the work of laying the necessary water mains, leading from the filtration plant to the standpipe and three reservoirs. The standpipe has been installed and is practically ready to receive water. The filter building is already under roof, while the plasterers and carpenters are at work on the finishing of the interior. The pump-station and boiler room will be placed under cover within the next few weeks. Work has been started on the foundation for the engines and boilers.
