To the Editor:—Enclosed are a couple of photos of a crack in the stone wall of a bakery oven, and the results of a fire which, in the writer’s opinion, was caused by a spark being forced through the crevice, and igniting the frame building immediately above the oven. The insurance adjuster, however, refused to pay the loss, stating that the fire was caused by an explosion inside of the oven, said explosion bursting the stone wall of the furnace place and allowing the flame to get through the crack to the wook work.
