WATER WORKS NEWS ITEMS The new building and reservoir for the water works of Middletown, Ohio, is rapidly being finished. The city council of Galena, Ill., has recently passed an ordinance providing for the purchase of the local water works. The new water tank of Cedar Rapids, Ia., is almost completed. It is all steel. The tank stands at a height of 115 feet. The San Dimas Domestic Water Company has just completed a half million gallon reservoir on the hills just north of San Dimas, Cal. The city council of Van Wert, Ohio, are to meet within a short time to appropriate several thousand dollars for repairs needed at the municipal water works. The water department of Rochester, N. Y., has recently set out 100,000 red pine trees on the shores of Hemlock and Canadice lakes, an addition to the 750,000 evergreens that had already been placed along the…
