FIRE AND WATER ENGINEERING The first week in May was made a spring clean-up week in many localities and as spring is a time of special fire menace because of accumulated litter of the winter months a spring clean-up campaign is a precautionary value of great merit and one which is becoming more and more generally in use. In a recent clean-up week in New Haven, Conn., the school children took part and the results obtained were of a most satisfactory character and other such campaigns ekewhere have been equally successful. The spring clean-up is a fire prevention measure that is of such value that its establishment as a national institution is being urged.
